Small, clear, and a strong snorkeling stop when conditions are good
Boca Catalina is not a huge beach, but it is a very good stop if snorkeling is part of the plan. The water can be extremely clear, and the reef areas close to shore make it easy to see fish without needing a boat tour. Because it is small, it can feel crowded quickly, especially when tours are in the area. Facilities are limited, so I treat it more like a snorkeling stop than a full beach day. If you are already exploring the northwest coast around Arashi and Malmok, Boca Catalina is definitely worth adding.
